Dear Umair:
Co- existence
Is that the same as co-creation or co-decision or…. for countries who are co-existing and stands peacefully besides each other without the thread of war?
Co-existence, why does it not belong to our human behavior? Do we have in our brains a part which is busy with co-existence; no we have not that part in our brain!
We are not able to co-exist with different political views, not able to co-exist with someone who is different in religion, race or sexual behavior. We as humans (Homo sapiens) we have a very, very old evolutionary flaw in our brains.
It haunts us as long as we, from the very beginning as we walked this planet with two legs, exist. Until we will live long enough or are just lucky there will be a lucky mutation which will bring us to a higher level, but if that is not the case, we will destroy everything on this planet until…..?
We are our own problem. We will, at the end, have to admit we became, on this very moment, at the end of our possibilities. I am an old man, who lost many members of his family to the atrocities of the German occupation and the Nazi doctrines (Holocaust). I am slowly losing my trust in the developments who are going on these days. Slowly we are walking into a dead end alley. At the end of it there is no way back. We do not get another chance to do it all over again!
Co-existence is against our nature of how we see or perceive the things around us. Also I must admit that you are right about the next thirty or fifty years ahead of us, but into that process of losing my trust, there is still a tiny glow of hope. Somewhere deep in my primitive brain, it is.
In the mean time I try to co-exist with my friendly neighbors and the friendly neighborhood wherein I live today.
I have tried to give my children the right mindset and way of thinking to live as good people. Co-existence as humans with their fellow man.
May be I have sown some good seeds in fertile grounds.
