The world holds its breath. Tensions can sometimes be cut. We are in a transitional phase without realizing it and we do not know where it will eventually go. Could man be the personification of the God Janus?
Janus was a head with two faces. A Roman God with opposite characteristics. A mysterious God. The opposite attributes could be war and violence on one side and on the other side could be peace and love. It symbolizes the duality of life and human nature. It is often used to represent the opposites between past and future, good and evil, beginning and end, and so on. It is also a symbol of transition and change.
Man is subject to the duality of his existence. The sun shines through the leaves of the trees. Just finished a funeral of a bridge friend. How play and art can also go together. The Man with two faces: good and bad, with all the gradations in between. The older people get, the more people disappearing around us. Death spares no one on this planet. An airplane drowns out my thoughts and the 1930s music I listen to.
My little garden gets very chilly, when the shade of some tall trees momentarily obscures the sun. Life always goes on. My thoughts do not want to form. Emotions suppress my ratio.
