Climate change is changing our lives

Life consists of moments of happiness, sadness, pain, hope and many other emotional moments. Moments that should be cherished. The meaningfulness of things, that happen to us in our lives, thereby make life deeper and fuller.

Listening to “Dreamy” by Dan Fontaine, it drags me in my mind to moments that were meaningful and sensible to me. Music is a mover of emotions. Our memories are often linked to smells, sounds and images. Sensory experiences often bring us back to those moments, that defined our lives or steered our lives in a different direction.

Sitting in my little garden, away from my studio for a while. The sun cherishes my sketchbook. Enjoying the moment when the world is a shining place to spend a while. The shadow of my pen moves across the paper. Shapes and structures arise almost spontaneously. “Autumn in New York” by Frank Sinatra, stops my pen. Desires are also those moments, which sometimes slow down life, but also make you long for other times. Loneliness and longing are sometimes coupled moments.

My little garden sparkles in the present. My eyes return to my sketchbook. Hmm, the drawing amazes me. Surprise is also such a moment. Surprise is a learning moment for me. A moment when other insights form in my head.
