Recorded in a fantasy rich world while watching the movie “Fantastic beast and where to find them.” Unfortunately, the movie ends too soon. With the last images in my head, I am thrown back into everyday reality.
I would like to hide in an infinite fantasy world in which only I can wander. A world without entrances and exits. Wandering around in it to infinity. Finally, being able to forget the real world and think that the fantasy world is your world.
The magic is gone from the world. The magic in the worlds and the dreams in them, which no longer exist. The magic of ghosts and gods and all the superstitions that belonged to them. The wizards and sorcerers. Moving yourself into that world timelessly. Being able to help people and be able to heal through an amazing knowledge of herbs and plants.
Books of science fiction that I once devoured. Enjoyed the dreams and fantasies of its writers. Unreal worlds into which you were drawn. Traveling along with the characters through the Universe. The epic Dune by Frank Herbert, written in 1965. Over a period of six years, he wrote more volumes. About the pursuit of power, the giant Sand Worms and all the political intrigue therein. Awesome!
Wandering around in an unreal world with constant amazement on your face. In which one fantasy clashes with another. I put on my headphones. In my ears sounds the voice of Frank Sinatra, with his interpretation of the song “She is funny that way,” composed and written by Neil Moret and Richard Whiting in 1929.
With much noise, a plane flies over, ready to land.
I know now that I have become detached from my own fantasy world. With a heavy heart, I surrender. Music carries me through the reality of life. Music gives me the emotional strength to keep going.
As I create my images and put them down on canvas or paper that makes me feel supported. An image that lives in my imagination and in my world. The works I create stem from that fantasy. Sometimes it is difficult to transfer thoughts belonging to that image to others. The other person, trying to follow that image.
My fantasy world is a world through which the shadows of people walk. I sometimes try to touch them, but they do not notice me. My works create a reality, in which I will always want…
